Hayley Wicker-Bradbury

I've spent over 13 years in fundraising, working across wildlife conservation, children's services and healthcare – building donor journeys, running campaigns and growing income from individual supporters and legacy gifts. I came to Visably because I wanted to do that work somewhere I could feel it land.

My role is about people and relationships as much as it is about fundraising. I want supporters to feel that there is someone at Visably who knows them, listens to them and is there to help. Sometimes that means helping someone understand how they can leave a gift in their Will. Sometimes it means talking through an idea they have for supporting Visably. And sometimes it’s simply being available for a conversation and helping them work out what feels right for them.

Watching my nan’s partner as he’s navigated losing his sight has taught me a lot. I’ve seen how changes to sight can affect everyday life, confidence and independence – and how much the right support can mean. The part of my job I love most is the conversations. A good day for me means speaking with our supporters and getting to know them properly.

I hold a BSc in Business and IT from Cardiff University and have built on that with professional development programmes throughout my career. What I value most about being a part of Visably is the chance to actually see the impact… to know that the income I help generate reaches a real person, in a real living room, hearing a voice through a speaker for the first time.

Outside of work, you'll find me on the South Downs with my dogs, centring myself with yoga or absolutely belting something out in carpool karaoke. Cinema trips with friends are non-negotiable.
